why this matters
Built by Someone Who Knows What Matters
Love and a deep commitment to keep my family and myself safe led me to prepare. I'm trained in finance and accounting. I live in a welcoming intown neighborhood, nestled between the city and the suburbs. When I'm not working, playing pickleball or golf, enjoying dinners with friends, or binge-watching a captivating series (!), you might find me stocking up here and there on dry foods, medications, solar generators, water purifiers, grid-down communication devices and so many more things.
As I spoke with more and more people about my activities and concerns, I learned that a great many were also taking similar actions toward readiness. There's a pervasive feeling that the unexpected can happen - anything from unstable politics to rogue weather - and people want to be ready. I met many folks who'd started home gardens in case of inflation or food shortages. One family had stockpiled over $20,000 in cash at home in case of cyberactivity that left banks inaccessible for a period of time. A retired couple told me they are maintaining homes in two countries, in case they need to evacuate their primary country. That brings me to the many people I've encountered who are seeking or have obtained a passport from a second country. I discovered that my social circles are saturated with incognito preppers, not using the label. I call us "Everyday Preppers".
People like us, the everyday people not living on remote compounds with livestock and private arsenals, are wondering what are the right things to do to prepare, without actually having to become hardcore preppers.
For many of us, our actions have been uncoordinated, and in us dwells a nagging question of whether we have been doing the right things and enough things to be ready. I resolved to help us.That was the genesis of these products: Readiness for the everyday person. With all the uncertainties in the world today, we should all empower ourselves and our families to handle whatever life brings with calm, confidence and love.
